Shelley Luther Got Caught
Like a broken clock, even the leftist hens on "The View" can be right..sometimes.
They nailed defiant salon owner Shelley Luther today, reporting that she received an 18k SBA/PPP Loan 2 days before appearing in court and telling the Judge "..feeding my kids is not selfish".
We also find out, according to her attorney, that she owns 3 horses, lives on a few acres and lives in a house that is very nice, but not quite a mansion.
So..she "couldn't feed her kids"?? Ouch. She apparently has one minor child. And, since it costs on average 28k a year in Texas to own 3 horses, I'm going to guess Luther was not being honest and that her child was in jeopardy of going hungry.
Of the 18k loan, when asked about it on "The View", Luther said the debit in her account from the US Government seemed to (paraphrasing here) "..just come out of the sky/dropped into my account.." and that she "..didn't know where it came from or what to do with it" (again, paraphrasing). So, apparently, Luther didn't know what to do with a loan that SHE applied for...RIIIGHT! ;)
This doesn't add up. I wish folks would just be honest about her.
And the Governor, Lt. Gov, Atty Gen and Ted Cruz?
Politicking.
Just be honest: They're using her to gain political favor. Oh, they still have my vote, but they're playing politics with a woman who's not being honest with us and doesn't appear to need our money to feed her children.
PS-If her stylists needed money, she could have paid them out of the 18k loan from the Gov that she applied for and got, and paid it back at 1% interest, if they didn't qualify under the 18k interest free/free loan. She COULD use that money-without having to pay it back-for rent, employees (even herself), insurance and more. Maybe Luther could sell the horses and take the extra money from maintaining them to pay back parts of the loan that didn't qualify (contract employees, like stylists). After all, her stylists are more important to her than her horses-I hope.
PPS-I got my haircut yesterday! Legally at an open salon. That owner and my stylist their didn't get PPP/SBA loan and wanted one..and didn't agree with Luther. That's the second salon owner and 3rd stylist I've talked to that strongly disagree with Luther. Interesting.
