Not Good Enough for Cops, but Good Enough for Dallas

Amazingly, at the height of a hurricane of homicides, the people of Dallas chose to elect the man who was the son of a Dallas cop, yet couldn't get the endorsement of Dallas' biggest Police union, nor DFD's union as well.

The election of Eric Johnson over Scott Griggs guarantees a continued slide towards a Chicago-style city of governance.

Further signs that we're screwed, courtesy of Dallas Morning News:
Below are quotations from DMN, talking about newly elected Eric Johnson-son of a Dallas cop who couldn't get endorsed by Dallas Cops...
"But Johnson changed his message on issues from one round to the next. During a debate for the May 4 election, he said workforce readiness was the No. 1 issue facing Dallas" (it's hard to "work" if you're dead)
"..[Johnson] blocked critics on Twitter and alleged that Griggs' [Mayoral competitor] supporters at a North Dallas polling place had stolen signs and intimidated voters during early voting." (just like BLM City Manager Teaser "TC" Broadnax, Johnson blocks his dissenters, portending poorly for Dallas' future)
"During the campaign, Johnson said the crime wave is a serious issue, but he argued Griggs' rhetoric calling the situation a "public safety crisis" was harmful. Johnson said the next mayor should promote confidence in the city's ability to address tough issues, not "contribute to people's panic or fear in the city." (hide the facts, blame it on a carwash-par for the course for this crumbling city)

There is one good piece of news, however.  The Leftest Loon from Dallas City Council, Philip Kingston, has been voted out.  Kingston swore every Confederate "stacha" would be torn down in Dallas and railed against most things good.
