YES, It was GRINER over Whelan.  Here's your direct evidence: A link to the originally posted NBC News story with 4 different reporters, including 50-year veteran DC reporter and famed Leftist Andrea Mitchell.  Yes, it's true that the Biden admin chose the black, gay athelete who pleaded guilty to domestic violance on her ex-fiancee a few years back.  This woman of "excellent moral character" (paraphrase) as he called her.  

Only in Russian custody for 4 months, Griner flew to a neutral Arabic country with an "I KNEW this would happen..and I'm ganna be SO famous and rich" look on her face in that pic.  Erstwhile, a man who our govn't says has been wrongly detained for 4 years, Paul Whelan, and who served us honorably, including 2 tours in Iraq before his dishonourable discharge years later, would remain in prison for God-knows-how-much-longer.  

This White House venerates gay folk and people of color above being a veteran who did 2 tours.  

The new, higher honor is reserved for those who are gay and/or people of color.

Just look at Sam Brinton, who's now been charged with 2 felony theft incidents; one in MSP, MN and one in LAS, NV.  He wanted more woman's underwear and high end luggage.  And he boldly stole it in front of all, authorities say.  Why? Because he's a man in a dress with lipstick.

It's clear under woke folks: Being gay or black is the new honor.  Military service takes a back seat to even that now.
