"Nearly Every City was Prepared to Act"

Collin County was about to be over ruled by 17 of its Mayors, according to McKinney's Mayor.

Mayor George Fuller agrees with my position on the weak Collin Order, and said this evening on on my show that about 17 other Collin County cities were prepared to pass the more stringent order that Tarrant, Denton and Dallas had passed 8 days earlier.

Fuller also says he believes Governor Abbott made his statewide "Shelter in Place" order at least in part because of Collin's refusal to get on the same page.

Fuller also revealed tonight that he and the other Mayors were constantly in touch with Austin, telling them about their frustrations.  Their complaints were heard.  The Governor took action.

This is what I told you would happen last week.

DFW is the biggest metro area with the highest Covid-19 numbers in the state.  This was a serious public health issue, and so our Conservative Republican Governor chose leadership over politics.  Lives over politics.  With 1.1 million people, it was the right thing to do.

I asked Fuller, how many more cases could Collin have because of the 8 days of "playing in the sandbox" in Collin?  He's not sure, but he knows with Covid-19 every day and every hour counts.

I asked him how he feels about Collin Administrator Bill Bilyou saying "testing is not the key" and not to get tested, just self quarantine if you're sick.  He very much agrees with me, as do all of President Trump's top medical officials in charge of this virus, that testing IS the key..it's how you trace every person that could have been exposed.  Tonight on WBAP, we heard that a large percentage of Covid postitive folks never show symptoms.  That's exactly why we MUST test, so we can isolate ALL Covid positive folks, NOT JUST THE ONES WITH SYMPTOMS!!

Tonight my friend's 82 year old grandma lies on a respirator, fighting this virus.  Mayor Fuller's 19 year old daughter suffered greately after she got the virus in Dallas, and he's been unable to see here face-to-face and hug her.

The Numbers:

Collin County - 184 positive - 1 dead - 54 recovered
Dallas County - 731 positive - 15 dead - 2 recovered
Denton County - 231 positive - 4 dead - 55 recovered
Tarrant County - 288 positive - 3 dead - 18 recovered

TOTAL - 1,434 positive - 23 dead - 129 recovered

PERCENT INCREASE (26-1,432)  -  5,719.23%
